Play Therapy (ages 3-10)Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. Children do not have the cognitive ability to think abstractly and therefore access words and understanding for their emotions. It is often difficult for children to make sense of difficult or stressful situations. Play therapy allows a child the means to express feelings, problems and situations in their lives and use the toys and the therapist in a way to work through and find solutions. Play therapy has been widely known, accepted and highly researched as an effective means to helping you children. |
